At Awake at the Wheel Camp, we come together not because we all walk the same path, but because we share the same longing—to live with more presence, connection, and love. Some of us are devoted to daily study and meditation; others simply want a peaceful camp with good people and a calm, drama-free vibe. All are welcome. Whether you’re seeking stillness, fellowship, or a place to heal and reset, AATW is a community where you can be yourself, at your own pace.
We recognize that awakening looks different for everyone. For some, it’s a spiritual discipline; for others, it’s the daily practice of kindness, honesty, and showing up. We hold space for both. What unites us is not belief or practice, but a shared commitment to walk together in love and mutual respect.
At AATW Camp, we offer a rhythm of daily and weekly activities designed to nurture both body and spirit. You’ll find sound baths, guided meditations, drum circles, discussion groups, and other opportunities for connection and renewal. We often share meals together, gathering around the table or campfire to laugh, listen, and enjoy the simple gift of community. Our main events each season include three immersive retreats—a Men’s Retreat, a Women’s Retreat, and a Couples Retreat—each focused on healing, growth, and deeper connection. Check out our Calendar Page for dates and details.
Sobriety is encouraged in all common areas and group activities so that everyone can feel safe, supported, and clear. At the same time, we recognize that each of us is on our own journey. Those in recovery will find daily 12-Step meetings and a community that understands and honors the path of healing. We lead with love, not judgment—trusting that transformation unfolds naturally when people are met with compassion and grace.
Like any camp, we face everyday challenges—misunderstandings, barking dogs, spilled coffee, and the occasional disagreement. What makes AATW different is how we meet those moments: with love, honesty, and humility. Our commitment is to deal with every situation from the perspective of grace, remembering that relationships matter more than being right.
AATW Winter Camp is a safe place to be wherever you are and to grow toward wherever you’re going. Here, individuality and unity coexist. Each of us contributes to the collective awakening simply by showing up authentically and choosing love. We’re not just camping together—we’re learning to live awake at the wheel of our own lives.
